We decided to try out a few new sites this morning, in hope of stumbling onto another 1700s cellar. Well, after driving, 4 wheeling and hiking, we found a depression that has all the signs of an early site. I dug a 1700s gold gilt button with a center cast line and a huge lead ball with a cast line and sprue mark. That's all we found there, so we went back to old faithful; the 1770s cellar we've been hitting for a couple of months. Dug a 2 prong fork, pewter spoons, spigot, silver gilt button and a really nice 1822 Matron. I think it's a semi key date. Thanks for looking!

Very cool find Relic Med, congratulations!

If you have a moment please look at my post “A Dry Hunt”. There is an old relic that I need help identifying.

Thanks,

Tony
