Been detecting as I can when the weather is okay to do so. Caught the 43 Washington back on the 10th of February. Found it, a few wheats and some clad in a picnic area that has been closed and overgrown since the late 60's. That'll be # 3 FTY.
Spent about 4 hours and 4 miles in some dense woods today as the temp was up to 35F. I've only done these woods twice because they're so very hard to get to. Only thing I found of interest was the Boy Scout Merit Medallion. Says HANDICRAFT on the main face and the emblem on the back says BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA..... HEADQUARTERS 1928 NEW YORK CITY. As to exactly how old it is I don't really know but finding it halfway through my trek upped my game a bit and I slowed down a lot! Otherwise found a crapload of buckshot and shotgun headstamps.
