Sweet! I gotta tell you, if I lived out West, my coin hunting would surely take a back seat to searching for some yellow Having never been on a gold hunt before, is that typical of one or two hunts, or, can one also go for stretches getting skunked?

Typical results vary wildly Joe. These are very meager finds compared to a lot of guys. The bigger pieces where detected in two trips...and I've been back there probably 5-6 times with two different detectors, and only a skunk. The smaller stuff was from 3-4 trips, just looking for good crevices to dig out. I told a buddy about the spot, and he found a crack I missed that had a 1/4 ounce..grrr.

So what do you plan to do with these findings now? Surely you have no use for it? Do you melt it down?

Looks like your on to some good spots Ray . Nice looking pickers in there too ! It's never easy so get it while you can .
