When replying to a post, you have two options
1. REPLY at the bottom of the post--if you hit this button, it will "quote" the post you are replying to. That mean it will include the original post and then your post at the bottom.
2. A little farther down is NEW REPLY. This button will just let you post your words without "Quoting" everything that has already been written.
I personally like the NEW REPLY button as it keeps the thread "cleaned up".
Sometimes REPLY is relevant if you are only responding to a certain topic in a specific post but usually NEW TOPIC is the best choice-- .
