Full Version: Replying Tip--just my observation/opinion

When replying to a post, you have two options

1. REPLY at the bottom of the post--if you hit this button, it will "quote" the post you are replying to. That mean it will include the original post and then your post at the bottom.

2. A little farther down is NEW REPLY. This button will just let you post your words without "Quoting" everything that has already been written.

I personally like the NEW REPLY button as it keeps the thread "cleaned up".

Sometimes REPLY is relevant if you are only responding to a certain topic in a specific post but usually NEW TOPIC is the best choice-- .

Just my two cents and just my opinion.

I agree with Ron. If you are not replying to a specific post, you should use the New Reply button (or the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread) not quoting any previous post.
That way the thread is more readable and clean Happy

But if you are replying to a specific post, then you should use the Reply button just below the post you are replying to.
