I went to visit my 90 yr old grandmother today. She lives in a house that was built in 1946. I've never thought about running a coil over her yard but I thought, "what the hell." I was pleasantly surprised. The yard was torn out in the late 50's and new top soil brought in. I found 2 Rosie's (1948-s and 1959-d), 4 wheaties and a silver earring. The earring seemed like junk until I cleaned it and saw 'sterling' stamped in the back. Thanks for looking.
Hey, I found a silver Rosie yesterday too, SLC
Ya know...
You're right, silver IS silver. I could dig silver rosies all day long & be a happy camper! You're saving it from the ground
Joe
Nice finds. I think any yard built before the 60s should have silver in it. Our house was built in 1950. I have found a handful of silver out back. Also a bunch of wheat, two Indians, and a buffalo. I see alot of deer out there too.
Nice catch SLC. I'm with Joe. Good pick on that old house!
Nice Rosies I actually found some in my change from the grocery store
