Back at the same place today an boy did it suck . Couldn't find anything worthy of talking about other than stinkin clad so I jumped in the truck and headed over to one of my other haunts . Ten minutes in to swinging up pops the Merc 1943 at six inches . Alright im on the board ! After that it wasn't much better with just more clad and four wheaties in the mix 1918 , 1940s , 1945s , 1953s . So at least I didn't get the skunk but was starting to smell it until that Merc showed up . Im happy and can't complain .

Haha, way to save the day!
Rat, I LOVE me some silver, as that's what I hunt 80% of the time. To me, mercs are one of the most beautiful coins ever minted. I'll take a merc and be happy any hunt. It puts you on the board & adds another keeper to the pile! At about $2 a pop on silver dimes currently, I couldn't care if I dug Rosie's all day
P.S. - At least you got out, I'm DOA until weekend

Congrats on the Mercury dime. Anymore, if I Hunt a park, I am happy with any old coin. But silver always makes the day.
