Cool find for sure. If you go to a mineral and gem show - take it there and ask around.

From my experience, that is a fossilised footprint, possibly dinosaur?
In New York you can mine for herkimer (sp?) Diamonds. They leave a similar pocket from the crystals forming. I would guess this is something similar
I don't believe that it's been worked by man in any way.  It did look like a Nutting Stone at first glance but, the holes look a bit off to me.

I don't know but it looks like someone was drilling holes to break off a chunk of rock
