I just took my handle from the antique detector I got from my dads friend who had to go into a nursing home. He's still kicking and giving the nurses a fit, but he can't get out any more.
Off subject : I was born in NJ, on Fort Monmouth Army Base, which I just found out was closed in Sept 2011. I knew there was some reason I like it here. There are quite a few of you from NJ and surrounding areas.

Mine is not because I'm a porn star, but I probably would have been a good candidate. lol Really I did not give it much thought, joined a forum and needed a user name. At that time I found myself getting up then down the up then down then up. So I thought this name would be appropriate.
However, I seen a lot of good handles since I started the hobby. The other day, I seen a new user here named Tabwhisper (Nice One). We all can relate to that! I know sometimes they are overwhelming. Then I say (*&^%! and change the settings to cherry pick.

Yeah, they seem to be closing everything around here, mostly to make way for malls & apartment complexes
Urban renewal my ass! All the mom & pop's are being chased away, and the only one's getting anywhere are the developers and the politicians...getting rich.
Some rich blowhard real estate fella went in and demolished a sandstone house from the 1700's, which was on the historic register, a designated landmark, etc. The state urged him to let it stay, or at least give them time to move it somewhere. He wiped it out to build luxury condos.

Yes, Tabwhisperer is pretty darned creative, as is Updownup.
I remember there was a HUGE brewhaha on another forum years ago. Some twit joined and used the name Ni©©e®Digger. At first, the mods didn't know what to do, as it had a picture of a black guy as the avatar. If he was indeed black, and was entitled to his freedom of speech like the rest of us, what action could they really take? Well...
Turns out, they tried contacting him to gently ask if he could change the handle. After getting no response for a while, I guess they looked into it further, and matched the ip address of the account to one of their top members...who was white as Casper the ghost. The story was, he was pissed because a find of his didn't make banner, and decided to rile everyone up, and try to make the forum look racist.
They wound up banning him, and he manuevered back on again under an alias account, a few weeks later. This time he used the handle: The Wiz, and had a photo of a grand wizard of the KKK. The mods & admins were furious, and they actually got ahold of his personal information, and posted it on some gangbanger website.
Never heard from the guy again. The bloods probably snuffed him out.
