Nice set of hunts MRH! I hope you had fun in the river and stayed cool. Those canoe/kayaking launch points and trail could be a real great place to detect. We have the same problem here with the rocks in the river. Scoops are kinda useless.

You are lucky to have a river like that available for your detecting. I can see from your many finds the potential for some great recoveries. There has to be some gold there with all that activity on the river. Nothing like that here--just very steep muddy banks, poison ivy, and no "swimmin holes". Hope you can get back soon with your camera in hand.
