pulled up a
1814 - 1821 federal artillery button, larger than the last one i pulled up
and this one is solid brass not layered .. in excellent condition on the front.
no shank though , and no back mark visible ...
also pulled up a large convex very old button , an iron buckle and a few lead scraps.

Sheet, another incredible button! Methinks that one might be worth some bucks. Not that it matters, as I know you wouldn't sell it, but, don't go cleaning it with a Brillo pad or something, lol! That's quite a historic find. Just think, a soldier 200 years ago had that on his uniform, and for whatever reason, it came off...and YOU are now the proud owner Yes
